Why does my Trulia Voices profile only show 20 answers, while My Trulia Profile shows 264 answers?

And I have just answered another 15 questions and the 264 has not gone up at all. In fact the last few times I have logged on I don't think I have gotten any juice from the questions answered. I think I am stuck at 264. Is the system broken? Help!

Hi Betina,

If you are referring to your profile snapshot shown at the link below, please note that these are stats only for this last month and by our can't you've posted 56 answers this past month.

I hope this clears things up. If not, please send me a link to the bio you see that only shows 26 answers.

Ah haaa, I am seeing the light now. I did not realize you kept score just on Austin answers alone, nor did I know the Top voices only counted answers for the last month or week. That explains a lot, well actually it explains everything!! Thanks so much for getting to the bottom of things! You guys do a fantastic job!

Hi Betina,

Thanks for bringing up this issue. Right now, our statistics are updated several times a day, so there's often a delay between when you make a change and when that appears on your profile. (Your profile now displays 276 answers.)

I hope this explains the issue you've seen. Let us know if you notice anything else awry on the site.

Thanks for your continued feedback about this! I’ve dug to the bottom of what’s happening here, and really agree that we need to be doing a better job making this clear. Here’s what you’re seeing:

As Emily notes, on this page, we list answers you’ve made in the past month, anywhere:
http://www.trulia.com/voices/users/most_answers/

However, on this page, we list answers you’ve made in the past month (or whatever time range you select) *in Austin*:
http://www.trulia.com/voices/users/Austin---4668

(Further adding to the confusion, these numbers are updated once a week.)

On your profile page (which you can get to by clicking on your name, next to your questions and answers), we list answers you’ve made over all time, regardless of location:
http://www.trulia.com/voices/profile/Real_Estate_Pro-Austin-…

Obviously, we should be making this clear from the get-go. I’m going to bring this up to our UI lackeys to ensure we're properly labeling this data. As it currently stands, you’re right… it’s confusing!

When you go to Trulia Voices (where you see the local Realtors answers) and plug in Austin Texas, I am on the top of the list, great. However it shows my number of answers is only 20 something.....even after I answered a bunch of questions yesterday.

Hi Betina,

I'm not sure where you're getting the number 24 from. If you mean 264 then please note that your profile stats have been updated and show that you have posted a total of 290 answers at this point. As Louis said below, the stats are updated several times a day and will not always reflect your most recent activity.

OK, I have answered 18 questions Today and yet my Trulia Voices profile still shows 24. That is not right, help!! Your answer counter is broken. THANKS!

My profile numbers are OK, it is my Trulia Top Voices bio that only shows 26 answers. That is the real problem. Please check it out.
