Can someone give me an idea of how much it costs to "hook up" a built house. plumbing,wiring,water, sewage?

Best to start with the building dept in the city, or county in which you intend to buy to determine what fees may be involved...or...We are licensed A&B contractors and normally do the legwork for our clients as an additional service. You would also need cost/s information from each utility company. Then choose a licensed contractor to do the work and determine what those costs will be.

Much will depend upon the distance of the home from the closest utility hookups.

you should be able to get a liner foot cost per utility to guesstimate the cost to hook into the grid.

Are you saying that you want to buy a home in california city that is incomplete? If so, please call a contractor that you have checked out to be reliable and licensed and have them give you an estimate. They should do this for free.

Hello Sarah, Is this a modular or manufactured house?? I've seen so many different prices and they vary a lot from location to location. Also one plumber can charge more than another. For example I use one plumber who charges more, but he not only gets the work done quickly, is trust worthy, and he does a good job. So even though more expensive its worth it. On the flip side I have an electrician that is semi retired and his rates are lower than average. He recently did a project for me for $150 that another electrician said was going to be $750 to start and he wasn't sure if it might end up being higher. I don't think I'll be calling him back. After taking into consideration different rates and knowledge you need to know how far from the street hookups like water and sewage are? Is the property on a hill or have other difficult features? Can a tractor get in to dig or will it have to be done by hand? What does the city require and what are permit fees? There is a lot that needs to be researched and its hard to get general figures. I would take some approx measurements and call a few plumbers, contractors, cement guys etc. in your area and get some quotes that way. Back to my first question, if its manufactured or modular you may have to hire someone that works on those homes specifically as they will be able to do the work more quickly than someone who doesn't work on that type of home.
