I need an agressive realtor to sell our home in the Elizabethtown, KY area.

Hi Ken,

Try to find someone on Trulia that is local to you. I am sure that I can find you someone in your area,
But I only refer agents in different states after a great deal of communication and research.
I suggest you do the same in your area. Due diligence is the key to the success of your home sale.

Make sure you interview in detail and get written commitments and ask to SEE what they do for you.

Other then come to Kentucky myself, get licensed and market and sell your home..
I do not have a good referral for you. But I wish you the best of luck.

Greetings Ken, since your post was quite awhile ago, you may have already found a good Realtor. I have only one comment on an aggressive Realtor, it doesn't matter how much one advertises, open houses, flyiers, mail outs your home has to match your wants. Aggressive Realtor = Aggressive price.

Hi Ken, we agents all can refer an agent to you - it is one way to get direction and the referring agent is compensated via a referral fee from the agent they refer if you choose to do business with them. I'd be happy to do some leg work as well. But let me reiterate, however you come upon a list of agents to consider, take the time to interview them - you owe it to yourself.

Incidentally, if you do use an agent that comes through a referral, know that the referral fee arrangement does not result in an increase in the commission - it simply means that the agent shares a portion of his/her commission with the referring agent.

Ken, get your posted redirected to KY - but let me amplify the advice to interview - the agent you select will make a difference - make that difference a positive one by carefully selecting a good one. Be sure to question the agents you consider on their comfort with, and commitment to, online marketing - you are here on Trulia and so you understand that it is important - and it is! It is likely that your buyer will find you online and so you'd better be strongly positioned there. Pricing is critical - talk to agents about their approach, their comfort with the analytics and ask them to prepare and discuss their pricing analysis. Do not be fooled by an agent that tried to "buy" your listing by stroking your ego with an inflated price....that is the beginning of a losing formula that will lead to chasing the falling market and yield you less in the end. Finally, do not underestimate the importance of agent effort -sounds simple, but is so important. You want a full time agent who is fully engaged and enthusiastic about helping you succeed in selling your home.
