Jeannette, Home Buyer in Keasbey, NJ

I was suppose to close on 8/29. The sellers said they did not have enough notice and the earliest they can

Asked by Jeannette, Keasbey, NJ Sat Aug 30, 2008

close is the 5th. I am moving out of my condo on the 3rd. I said if they can't close by the 3rd they need to pay my storage and movers cost..my attorney said that is tough to recuperate. Shouldn't they have some kind of penalty for delaying me?

Jeannette,

Can't disagree with holding the seller responsible to a point.....but it should be reasonable and considered compensation not punishment.

If you are presently working with an attorney they should be able to advocate for your best interests. AND, as previously said, where is the selling agent in this process?

This is not the first time this type of thing has happened......there should be a resolution that accomodated everyones needs.

Where is your buyers agent? All is specified in your contract for closing date, and penalities due to lack of performance to a contract. http://www.homes-for-sale-dallas.com http://www.lynn911.com
