General Area in Nashville>Question Details

Marktylerj, Other/Just Looking in

My fiance and I are currently looking to rent, and have been speaking with proprety managers, etc. throughout

Nashville. We initially looked into Lenox Village, and are still considering some townhouses there. Another property was recommended to us that was a bit lower in price, but we know nothing about it. Can anyone tell me about the Northcrest Commons townhouses? The townhouses themselves look nice--and new--but being only a block from Nolensville Rd. concerns me. I've been told to watch that area. Can anyone give me advice?

I live in the Northcrest Common townhomes and am quite happy. We also considered purchasing in Lenox Village, which is unquestionably a nice area. Likewise, we've heard the warnings about living this close to Nolensville Rd. But, I must say I have enjoyed the convenience that Northcrest Commons offers. The area is somewhat secluded and the neighbors are friendly, representing a wide range of homes. There are several units that are for lease in Northcrest Commons, some that are available for short-term leasing. If you're concerned about purchasing there, you might consider renting with an option to purchase if available. I'm sure you'll find it a very pleasant place to live, as I and my family have. The units are also very nice.

I think your initial option of Lenox Village sounds good. It's a great neighborhood that I think you'll thoroughly enjoy. It has that small retail section that allows you to walk to get a great pizza and do other things. Plus it's conveniently located to several retail establishments and restaurants that would be nice to be near and not too far to either Interstate 65 or 24. That area is growing quite a bit, so there's only more to come.

The Navy is transferring my husband and I to Norfolk, VA and we have to sell our house or rent it out or we wont be able to afford another place to live. We have a 4 bedroom house with a brand new deck and fenced back yard close to Lenox Village. Check it out on trulia or zillow just search for it at 210 Townes Dr. Nashville, TN 37211. Send me an email at if you have any questions.

What do you think about Barnes Crossing? I've heard very little about it, but the townhomes are far more affordable than Lenox Village.

may i make a suggestion renting sometimes is a good thing when you are wanting to get credit established and until you can maybe find you a home or even have your home built and finishing up but take it from a builder who has been in the nashville area and also the murfreesboro area when i say that buying or building is always a better decesion. And not because i am a builder am i saying this it is because the rent sometimes and i would say deffinatly in nashville is just as expensive as a mortgage note and why not be paying on a mortgage when would day you could actually call it your own or sell it and make a quick profit then to rent and be throwing away your money cause you will pay forever as long as you are staying there even if the owner has payed of the loan they have borrowed to build it if scared about buying and being in a mortgage may i also suggest maybe a leasing situation in wich you would rent to own goood luck best wishes hope you found this helpful!!!!

That is getting close to an area that you probably don't want to live near. The farther south you travel down Nolensville Rd. the better. I would reccommend Lenox Village, I actually live in a neighborhood adjacent to Lenox Village and we love the area. It is growing very rapidly and is a very good community. If I can help you guys in any way please contact me through my website I work primarily in this part of Nashville and know the area very well. Good luck in your search!

Hi! Have you tried ? Give them a try. Also you may call your local real estate company and ask an agent for available properties they may have listed. Good Luck!
