Hi Mike,

Isn't technology great? If you combine Google Maps satellite view with "streetview" photos and IMapp data that your realtor could provide you, you can get a very good idea of what the house that you are interested looks like. You can also look at the whole street and get a very good idea of the street looks like. Because the "streetview" data is very recent, you can now have a much more accurate picture than a few months ago when some of the Google maps would plot a house in the wrong location.

I even have access to sometechnology that can give you 4 aerial pictures of the place where you live. One from each of the 4 cardinal points, i.e. ESWN. If you send me your address or the address of a property that you are interested in purchasing, I'll send them to you for free. No obligations. You just have to give me an e-mail address too. It's awesome. And if someone asks you how you got them, just tell them that you know someone who flies on a broom... LOL

You can move the curser over the photo on Trulia to move the picture to see up and down the street. Since there is already a photo with each listing on Trulia, they have provided a way to see the rest of the street, to get a sense of the neighborhood. So give it a try next time you are on Trulia. Mike,
If you would feel more comfortable with the actual MLS print out, we would be happy to email them to you so you can have the benefit of being certain this pictures are accurate representations of the property.

Just let us know.

It may not put you exactly in front of the house, use your arrow keys (or your mouse) to "walk down the street".

Those answers you received were pretty good. I just have to add one note. There is a lot of new construction that has occurred within the last three years. Satellite photos from google might be up 2 a few years old. Photos you see on listings are usually very current taken by the agent.

The street view photos come from Google. They will give you an idea of the homes positioning on a lot but can vary in accuracy. The listing photos were usually taken by the Realtor listing the home or in our case we hire a professional photographer to generate photos and a virtual tour. Listing photos should be the best quality for you as a consumer to view.
