I have contacted a online lender and verbally asked him to lock the rate for me and the lender has sent

disclosure for me but due to the other lender offers better rate. I have asked the lender to cancel my application. Now he wants to charge me for lock fee and threaten if I don't pay then they will report it to credit bureau agencies and will hurt my credit score. Since I didn't sign anything just a verbal commitment, and I liable? Please help. Thanks.

Cindi, Thank you so much for your quick reply. I did not sign anything. Just verbal agreement on the phone. The lender is RMC Vanguard. Thanks.

Did you sign with an electronic signature online? Who is the online lender?
