I know it was supposed to be involved in a short sale but from what I understand, a couple who had put the only known bid on the house still haven't been told if THEY are the ones it was sold to so they are beginning to think someone else bought it from under them. How do you tell if a property is truly sold if the selling agent won't tell?

Answer by Roz Parker

Hello R. Braddy,
This property is currently showing as Pending which meaning is should be close to closing. However this property is a Short Sale so the seller maybe waiting for bank approval. You may want to have your Realtor follow up with the listing agent . If you're not working with a Realtor I'm happy to help. Also feel free to view foreclosures on my site at http://www.RozParker.com

Thanks,

The Charleston MLS currently has the status as pending. This means an offer has been accepted and the transaction is waiting to close. If you know the couple who seem to be in the dark, please tell them to contact their agent to get clarification.

Short sales can be difficult to get all parties communicating at the same level.
