The majority of homes on a golf course in our area do NOT include golf memberships. These would be separate memberships. There are a few rare cases where golf is included, but these are in 55+ communities, and mobile home parks.

There are other ways to go that you may not be familiar with. If you live in Rancho Mirage, you can obtain a city golf membership for $75. Then you can play the (2) Westin Hotel Pete Dye and Arnold Palmer Courses for only $55 a round including cart and practice balls. Palm Desert has a similar relationship with the Desert Willows Golf Course for $45 a round of 18 holes with cart and practice balls, and La Quinta Residents can do the same at Silver Rock Golf Course. These three are probably the best deals in town!

If you want to be affiliated with a private club, your membership dues will most likely be separate. Not all folks who live on a golf course belong to the golf club.

I represent quite a few buyers in golf course communities, so I am very familiar with this topic.
