An agent called asking for a one time showing.

She asked the agent calling to bring papers by house so she could bring to me at work for my review at least 2 hours early. She did not. Later found out that she got sick and another agent showed up at end of alloted time frame with couple to see house. My wife felt pushed & rushed to sign it without my signature but didn't want to chance losing sale. She would not leave a copy or let her scan on on computer. I don't mind paying a OTS for a good job done but this was a mess. Hateful agent who clearly did not want to be there. My wife also called the original agent that scheduled it that nite & asked for copy & told her we didnt need one that she was tired of fooling with them after showing them 45 houses. I never signed the paper, only my wife did, and I did not agree to any terms. The agents broker is now sueing us after our Real Estate attorney told us to NOT pay the commission. They bought house but didn't want either agents involved. Opinions? Thanks.

Answer by Bill Eckler-Florida, GRI

Joe,

Opinions from this forum are of little value since you are involved in litigation. Your best course of action is to follow the advice of your attorney.
