My name is Kimberly Turner and I am the manager of Arbor Terrace RV Resort. We are an all age pet friendly community located in Bradenton. We have two brand new resort homes and pre-owned homes for sale in our community. The resort homes are $29,900 and we are offering a great lot rent special of $199 per month for three years. The monthly lot rent includes water, sewer, dumpster service, lawn maintenance and use of the facilities. Our pre-owned homes start at $11,900 and go up to $72,900 depending upon size. Our resort offers a heated pool, billiard table, clubhouses and seasonal activities. Please feel free to email me at kturner@suncommunities.com or call me toll free at 1-888-275-1032. There are a few neighborhoods I suggest for a student due to ease of care, etc. I just sold a property to one of the teachers at Lecom in a neighboring community due to the pricing as it was much less than renting! In each of these communities there are bargains. Please call me to discuss further or send an email to michelle.dunbar@floridamoves.co for more details. thank you!

Answer by Linda T. There are many great opportunities in the LECOM area from which you can choose, but first it would help you determine what is a good buy when you identify what it is you need and would prefer.

I have a client with whom I am working to accomplish this same goal and we have targeted a 3 bedroom facility so her daughter can rent one bedroom out and then mom will have a place to stay when she visits.

Try to identify yours and your son's needs, establish a budget, determine what you are willing to pay in condo and other fees (if you want to go condo) and then begin your search. If you need further assistance comparing areas, costs and prices relative to unit size and bedrooms, I'll be happy to help.

You will truly enjoy your visits to our beautiful Lakewood Ranch area.

I did a quick search in Lakewood Ranch and found many great deals including a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo with 732 sf living area that was built in 2001 priced at $49,900. This is a bank owned foreclosure so it will go quickly. But there are many properties - whether condo or single family - that coupled with the current low mortgage interest rates, will be a more affordable option than renting if you are planning to own it for several years. Probably by the time your son graduates from LECOM, you can sell it at a profit.
Congratulations on your son's acceptance to LECOM!
