At this point, the only way to stop this sale would be to contact a bankruptcy attorney ASAP.

Good luck!

Answer by Angie Gallaher

Do the foreclosure papers given to you state that it is a judicial or statutory foreclosure? If it says it is statutory, you may want to seek an attorney to attempt to put an injunction on the foreclosure temporarily and take the foreclosure before a judge where you might have the opportunity to explain your circumstances or buy time to get it sold.

Answer by Scott Godzyk

Your first step is call the bank and ask for the home retention department, you may have waited to long as they would have been able to help you earlier in the process. Where you do not have alot of time the option of a short sale is off the table. Again call now and ask what they can do to help you, they dont want your home, but you have to wok with them so they can help you. good luck Anthony
