Property still owned by investors as they have not been able to sell remaining 22 units of 250. HOA has gone up almost double - supposed ly due to reserves we now have to pay. We do not get the service from the HOA as requried and cannot question becasue investors are in control. People moving in recently are not the kind I want to raise my child around. We need to leave but have are hands tied and wanted to know if short sale is a viable option.

Answer by Todd Barth

Hi Arlene,

Your situation is very common these days. I am sorry to hear of this, but if you are interested in working on a short sale, I'd be happy to help you. I have successfully closed several short sales in the area. It is very important that you work with a realtor who understands the process as it can be long and difficult. Have you discussed this option with your mortgage holder? Please feel free to contact me anytime.
