By looking at websites like www.theprescottmls.com and www.prescottmls.org you can search without hassle. I send clients short sale and bank REO listings automatically as they are available. There are so many bargains in this area! The first place to start is to find out what you would qualify for. This means contacting a mortgage company or bank, etc. A good lender can walk you through the process very easily. You can start with a phone call and do the paper work later. I know several Realtors in the area if you would like a referral- send an e-mail to hollywoodaz@commspeed.net with your contact info and I will put you in touch with a Realtor in the area who knows the market well. Prescott and Prescott Valley have a LOT of foreclosures and lots of inventory. Meanwhile, get in touch with your lender and get prequalified for a home loan ( if you dont have one, your realtor can put you in touch with a good local lender)- many times a bank will not even consider an offer until they have proof that the buyer can buy- this is a necessity if you want to be considered seriously when making an offer.
