Most school districts have ESL classes for at least the elementary schools. They may not offer the program at all schools but you should enquire of the school district.

Answer by Jane Myong

http://www.bergenfieldboro.com/resinfo.htm

this is from the boro's website:

PUBLIC LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER in Bergenfield will shortly be unveling their new facility. In addition to the endless amount of books available, there are lectures, films, children's story hours, summer reading clubs, crafts, videos, compact discs, audio cassettes, copier machines, art exhibits, and a reference and information department. Also, there is an ESL program (English as a Second Language) for the many newcomers in this country. Be sure to stop by to apply for a Library Card. Be sure to watch the Twin Boro News for the date of their grand opening.

Here in Ocean County it's free. If you're in Bergen contact the Bergen County Library or the Bergen County Clerk's office.

Usually one of those groups is the sponsor of the classes. You can also go to the town's website and check there.
