You need a person on your side. One to fight for you when necessary and equally important to make sure you are covered properly. Not under-insured and not over-insured. I use Tony Agosta at Farmers Insurance. You need to choose someone who you feel comfortable with and is working in your best interest. Just to share a story...when we owned our first home we did not have earthquake insurance and suffered a 7.0 earthquake in our area. We had some broken windows and minor interior damage. Our local insurance agent called us to check on things, heard about the damage and made arrangements for it to be covered on our policy. This was a major insurance company with a local agent....that is the difference in working with a name and a face that is local and that you can trust.
