If you would like I can help you with this. It would help to have your address so I can narrow the search for what sold in your area. As Pacita mentioned if your doing this to lower your property tax that is currently due you don't have much time. Feel free to contact me.

Thanks

I can help you.

Are you thinking of submitting a request for reassessment for your property taxes? If so, the deadline for submitting your application for 2008 reassessment is TODAY!

To help you, I will need:
* Street address - so we can choose properties in your immediate vicinity. We obviously can't compare the new houses in Bayport to vintage homes in the Gold Coast
* When did you buy your house, and for how much? Sometimes, this information is missing from the property profile I pull up
* When doing the comps, you will need to pick the properties that are the closest to yours in terms of type of building, bedrooms/ baths, square footage, age, style, location, and how much they sold for on specific dates.

It takes a bit of time. You're best served by talking with a realtor. If you don't have one helping you, contact me via my Trulia profile. I'll do my best to get this done today --- but your deadline is TODAY! You can fax your request or drop it off at the Tax Assessor's office.

The next property re-assessment isn’t due until July 2009 so if this one isn’t adjusted this year, you should go ahead and apply for re-assessment for the following tax period. Here’s the link again if you’d like to revisit the website for the Alameda County Tax Assessor’s office http://www.acgov.org/assessor/reassessments.htm
