We have a friend that lives in Old Irving and we've really started to like the area. We are young professionals in our mid 20's, and we currently rent a house in the suburbs. We're tired of always going into the city to do things, and we think we'd rather just live there. Our lease ends in mid May, so we're looking to start seriously looking at properties very soon.

We are looking for a realtor who is a buyers agent with extensive knowledge of Old Irving Park to help us find out first home. In addition, we're looking to find an agent in Chicago who either specializes in, or has a significant amount of experience working with first time home buyers. If you're a realtor that fits this criteria, we'd like to hear from you. Thank-you in advance.

Answer by John

Hey Kazz,
I also have friends who live in the area and they love it there - if I wasn't working in the suburbs, I would also like to live in Old Irving park! Can I ask you the price range you're interested in? I know a few people who are thinking of selling.
Good luck in your search!

We live in a beautiful, light-filled two-bd condo in Old Irving Park with a full-lot side yard/garden, plus free storage and parking. Although it's a condo, it feels much more like a home due to the yard, and the surrounding neighborhood. The neighborhood is fantastic, and we are only looking to move because of the birth of our second child. We have not listed with anyone yet (I was doing reasearch when I found your query), but would be happy to entertain selling by owner OR with an agent. If this sounds interesting to you, please call (773) 794-6199, or email monamann57@yahoo.com.

Good luck in your search!

My wife grew up in Old Irving Park and we both lived there when we first got married. Her family still lives on Irving Park Rd. and we visit and know the neighborhood well. My wife who is my partner loves working with first time home buyers. If you check out her web site, I am sure you will be impressed. Please give us a call when you are ready to find your dream home. Currently, there is a great deal for sale in the area to look at and you should be able to find what you are looking for.

I have lived in Old Irving park for 25+ years. Ever since my first generation of great grand parents got off the boat at Ellis Island.
My Greatgrandfather and his neighbors would help each other out buy building house after house in this area, unitl all family and friends who came over from Vienna Austria were settled. We have cared for the land by selling vegtebles from his back yard. He also was the grounds keeper for Bohemium Cemetary.
I would love the opportunity to take you thru several homes that were made by his hands as well as other family and friends. Till this day the roof on our beloved Great grandfather's home needs no repair. It is amazing how the construction out lives most of the past 15 years construction. A native to this area, born on the kitchen floor, I have 15+ years experience and welcome the opportunity to assist you with your first home.
I specialize in first time home buyers and have a broad range of product knowledge and would like to share that with you. I can be reached at 312 953 4484.

Good afternoon! Old Irving is such a great area and right in the territory that I cover for my clients. We have had helped many clients in the area. I live/work about 4 miles away.

About 50% of my buyers are first-time buyers. From pre-approval to the searching for homes to choosing the perfect home, to inspections, attorneys and closing, I am with you every step of the way.. Nearly all of the rest are repeat buyers or referrals from other buyers because my clients have a great experience when they work with me. I would be glad to send you a list of satisfied customers for you to check on.

If you are going to move mid-May, we've got work to do! Give me a call or send me a note and we can get started right away.

All the best, Eric
