Real estate agents should not be giving customers our personal opinions as to whether an area is bad or good, safe or not. We could potentially be found in violation of national Fair Housing laws for doing so. Sadly everywhere is getting bad when it comes to crime and drugs. But just speaking of Huntington if you notice on WSAZ.com or The Herald Dispatch newspaper a lot of the people being arrested for crimes are in fact from the Detroit area. Not placing blame on anyone or place but there has been a lot of people arrested from that area.... more
Hi Captain186: If you are worried about child molesters in a particular neighborhood you should contact the police for information under Megan's Law. It is my understanding that different states handle this differently, but you should be able to get basic information about known sex offenders in the area.
