Some great answers here... Corrales for sure, North Valley areas (including Los Ranchos), you can get lots of home for the money in Rio Rancho so should look at that also.

Yes it is. Keep a close eye on Craigslist. The kind of place you're talking about doesn't stay on the market for long.
