3534 Faust Ave. Just Listed is a Mid Century Modern 2 Bedroom 1 bath Signle Family Home. This property is located in the Lakewood Plaza area of LB. Close to schools: Patrick Henry, Marshall and Milliken,
This property looks like it's in rough condition, so that probably has something to do with it. Long Beach rents can vary greatly, but tends to be a slightly better deal than just south in Orange County. Long Beach has a lot of unique neighborhoods and some of the best neighborhoods are very close to areas that many consider to be undesirable. I think this has a major affect on the rent rates when compared to other cities. Also, be very cautious if you see rent rates that are unbelievably low, it's most likely a rental scam. Never send money to anybody and don't sign anything unless you've met them in person. Scams are everywhere now, even on Trulia, and many times these people are looking to make a couple hundred dollars, not thousands.
Long Beach is a fantastic city to live in. Great restaurants, nightlife, close to freeways, mild weather, etc. If you're not familiar with the neighborhoods, drive around and pick out the areas you like best.
Best of luck to you...... more
Check with Westside Rentals, they usually have a lot of properties. Other than that, find a Realtor you want to work with and let them do all the leg work!

Belmont Shore and Belmont Heights are definitely what you described in your question. Safe, friendly easy going people, walking distance to shops and restaurants but there are other parts of town that are good too. Depends on your budget, if you like a house or a condo and if you are renting or buying. I just gave a client a tour of Long Beach and introduced him to different areas. I'd be happy to do the same for you. This is a free service and never an obligation for you to use our brokerage. It will be our pleasure to show you the city. My contact information is below. Feel free to call anytime.

A Walk Score is simply an attempt to quantify how "walker friendly" a particular home is. The higher the number, the more likely you'll be able able to walk to shops, restaurants, and services. The lower the number, the more likely you'll have to get in your car to get around.... more

Landlords give a lot of importance to a credit score, as it represents how well you pay your bills. You say you're never late with rent or utilities... but what about credit cards, and car payments. Late payments send a bad message to a landlord, and unless you're their only option... they're going to choose to accept people with better credit scores.
How do you convince them?? Pay attention to your credit score, it's a valuable commodity in today's marketplace, and worth protecting and nourishing.... more

Homes are showing up as a Rental's and at rates that are far under market. If something seems to good to be true it usually isn't. Please be aware and never send any money out to anyone without verifying the validity of the deal.... more
I have been searching for some time now in the Long Beach CA area for rental properties for me and my dog but a lot of places won't even consider pets (except for cats), why is Long Beach so anti-dogs?
For that price it most likely will be a 2-bed condo with 2 parking. Most houses in that price will have no parking. Lakewood unlikely. More likely North LB and Paramount. Have you looked on craigslist?
As of buying, you will never know until you check what you qualify for. If you and your daughter put together both your incomes, it may be worth a try. And if you buy, your payment is fixed for 30 years, no increase, where as rent is fixed for one year max.
