For a co-op, the property taxes are included in the maintenance. You will receive an annual statement that tells you what portion of the maintenance is taxes and you can deduct the taxes on your annual income tax.

If you're looking in Westchester County, you will have far more luck searching Yonkers, New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, White Plains and Mamaroneck. You need to understand that Bronxville, Tuckahoe & Eastchester are very affluent communities and the odds of you finding any foreclosures are slim to none.

Yes Board approval is required. However co-op buildings have minimum down payments of 10% and higher. They are not approved for FHA financing so you will need to get a conventional loan.
