why is my MLS number showing a property in AK instead, do they assign MLS numbers to more than one property?

Asked by newyorkfreddy, 33771 Fri Jun 22, 2012

I just listed my house, and the realtor e-mailed me the info with the MLS #, when I ran it on Trulia, instead of my property, I see a listing for a lot in AK, The broker told me to give it 48 to 72 hours to update, is that right?

It sounds like you coincidentally got a duplicate MLS number from another MLS:

There are thousands of MLS organizations in the US.

Could that be the case?

Hi Newyorkfreddy,

All listing updates that we receive are displayed on our site within approximately 24 hours. Sometimes updates are processed faster, and once in a while we experience a delay in data processing that lengthens this time.

Have you been able to locate your listing yet?
