Hi there Jmbocchino,

I'm Andrew, a community manager here in Trulia Voices, and so can speak on Trulia's behalf.

Unfortunately, we do not offer the ability for homeowners and home sellers to list their own home on In order to get your home listed for sale on our site, you will need to work with a real estate professional.

To find such a real estate professional, and see reviews of them by your friends and family, you should check out our 'Find A Pro' tool:

Trulia does not accept for sale by owner listings. You must be listed with an agent or brokerage to post on this site.

You are welcome! In the seller's market FSBOs might work, but a good agent will be worth every penny and more (selling over asking if some serious marketing is applied)...There are some great posts on staging tips and preparing your property for sale -- check them out in Trulia Voices...

Good luck!

If you are a for sale by owner the post is not allowed, you can however try blogging about the property; if and when you do list with an agent, he/she can post it for you; or consider any flat fee realty company that feeds into the site.

Thank you. Zillow was pretty easy to update. We'll try FSBO first and then go to an agent if it does not prove to be productive. Doesn't hurt to try. We sold our last house FSBO. Won't say it was easy getting the house ready for every visit. But we managed. Thanks for your reply.

The info from MLS gets "syndicated" onto sites like and
It's possible that you'll need to be first on one of the sites for FSBOs that get syndicated onto, if any. There could also be blogs for FSBOs that you may want to check out on this subject.
