It looks like Trulia has become an advertising vehicle for Realty Trac--most listings are from them.
Why would Trulia compromise their site in this way?

Hi Jan,
We don't see this as a compromise to our site at all. With the addition of RealtyTrac listings Trulia now allows those interested in foreclosure properties to see those listings. And for those who don't it's extremely easy to filter those listings out of your search results. When your search results load just select Resale and/or New Homes to omit all foreclosure listings from your search. Best Wishes, Emily Gibson Customer Service Representative Mon Apr 7 2008, 15:57

Hi Jan,
You are probably looking for foreclosed homes in your are that is why you are getting properties mostly listed with Realty Trac. This is a fee based website by itself so you are really getting a paid service for free. Good Luck on your search. Laarni Sat Apr 5 2008, 11:40 Web Reference: http://www.laarnisthoughts.blogspot.com

Hi Jan,
I have to agree. However Realty Trac is a paid membership service, so to get more information on the properties they list, you have to pay for it. If you do find a property you may like, shoot us an email with the info Realty Trac offers you for free, we would be happy to look it up for you and find out more about the specific property, for no charge. As we work with many foreclosures, we offer this service to all our clients. Check out our website for more info (www.myLARealEstateGroup.com) or click on this link http://mylarealestategroup.com/foreclosures___investments-c5 to learn more about foreclosure properties. Hi Jan,
I have to agree with you about this move Trulia made. I'm not sure what your search criteria is, but Realty Trac lists homes that are in foreclosure. Check to see if you have the 'foreclosure' box checked when performing a search, that may make a difference. Depending on the area I only see a few listings from them. They biggest downside I see is that when you click on the listing to get more information you don't see much without paying for their services.
