Duane Mcclel…, Home Buyer in Dallas, TX

Is there a way to stop seeing results from a particular poster?

Asked by Duane Mcclellan, Dallas, TX Mon Mar 19, 2012

There is a company in area (Dallas, TX) called Uptown Locaters that is posting apartments tagged as homes. It's not just a few, but DOZENS! It makes it hard to search for actual houses...Is there anyway to search without seeing their postings?

Hi Duane,

I'm afraid there is now way at present to eliminate specific homes from your search results, however we'd definitely like to correct any listing information on our site that is misleading or inaccurate. I've searched for listings from Uptown Locators, but haven't been able to find them in our Dallas TX in rentals or sales however.

Is there any way you can let us know your search critieria when you encountered these listings, or provide us with a link to some of these results? If so, we would appreciate it! You can post that information here in an answer, or send it to our Customer Service team via the link below.

Thank you!

Thanks for reviewing my concern. I noticed that I was actually searching for homes to rent (not buy), so the posting regulations may vary; however, I did confirm that I only had single family homes selected as part of my criteria. Additionally I misspelled Uptown Locators in my original post.

A link to my search is:

You might try a different site.
I've created a link in 75204 for you to search for homes for sale at:…

or if you want leases:…

We can slice and dice it lots of other ways if you are looking for a specific type, price, or feature.

Let Trulia know and they may fix the issue. I don't know if there is another way.

The best way to weed through all that is to bypass it entirely! Speak with a Realtor about your housing needs and you can get current information about available listings that are specific to your criteria. Please let me know if I can help further!
