At this time, only REALTORs may post listings to Tulia. Honestly, to sell your home quickly for the best price, you should consult a local REALTOR. The fees charged will probably save you money on that bottom line net (profit) to you. A REALTOR has all the resources necessary to market your property effectively at his/her fingertips. Ask friends and family for referrals to find a good one in your area. Best of luck!
The listings featured on Trulia have been extracted from indexed broker/agent web pages. Please forward the following information to your realtor so he or she can submit your listing to Trulia:

I concur with Keith. If you need to sell your home immediately, you should hire a Realtor. Advantages of hiring a Realtor is that they'll market your home more comprehensively than listing it on 1 web site - hopefully, that is. Some real estate agents and Realtors may not be as internet savvy as others, so it's important to choose one with a strong marketing agenda/plan.
As for whether the Queens real estate market is strong or weak, really depends on getting market data from a local Realtor that knows the market and could provide you the comps to help you determine whether it is a "good" time to sell. I understand that you may not have the luxury of waiting.
If you're determined that you want to sell your home yourself, Craig's List is a good resource for you as it's only $10.00 to place an advertisement. You can also try the New York Times online classified - don't have the price info.
Lastly, keep in mind that unless you're available 24/7. Your house will only be on the market when you're available to answer the calls and show your house. A Realtor will show your house - with your permission - when you're at work, away on vacation, etc... A Realtor will also screen the potential buyers to determine the "lookers" from "serious buyers". A Realtor can put your home in front of more potential buyers and provide you countless other services, such as professional photography, co-broking, open houses - which benefits you selling your home in the time you want, for the price you want.
Good luck on selling your home.
Selling your home "as soon as possible" is a special case. I concurr with the other posts. Maximzing your net proceeds while still selling in "under market time" requires skill. By that, I mean that if the average number of days it takes to open escrow in your market is, say 90 days, and you want your home sold in a shorter time frame (say, 30 days), you'll need to select a Realtor that can show you that he/she has a plan that YOU believe will get the job done.
