I've attempted to type the address of a specific property into the Search box. Trulia does not return any information. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Jice,
I'm sorry that no one from Trulia was able to answer your question previously. If you don't find the home you are looking for on Trulia that doesn't mean that you are doing something wrong. If the home is for sale it is possible that the listing information has not been submitted to us and if it has sold recently we may not yet be receiving the sold information from the county assessor's office.
Best Wishes,

Hi Jice,
A realtor can get it for you in 2 seconds from the MLS and/or Metro/Scan. A Title company can pull up the information for you as well. Trulia and other sites like it should have it as well. Take your pick.......
Good luck,
Sally
I would contact your local title company. If you have a stewart title in your area they are pretty good.
Your quickest is a title search.
Jice, Is the property for sale? If it is then Trulia should have it unless it is not being fed into it's database. If the property was recently sold it might show. If you want all the records of ownership you can ask a Realtor to help or go to the county recorders office.
I thought that it would be possible to find this information here on Trulia. Is that not correct?
Hi there Jice. Your realtor will be abl;e to help you with thios pulling a title report or possibly it is recorded in MLS or the county recorders office will havwe this information
If you need help with this please let me know

Jice:
Your first source of information of this type would be your realtor. They have access not only to the MLS, as Lisa pointed out below, but also have access to tax records and relationships with their title company. Even though most homes sold in California will flow through one or more MLS services, not all do, so having access to alternative sources of information is always helpful.
Your second source of information is the County Recorder's Office. All transfers of real estate are recorded with the local Recorder's Office. Most of this information would require that you go the recorder's office directly and look up the information, but if you are a do-it-yourselfer, this would work for you.
If none of the above solutions work for you, just send me the address of the property and I would be happy to search this information for you. Best of wishes in finding your perfect home and Dare to Dream.

Hi, any information regarding properties that have been sold is public information. Realtors have access to the MLS data which will also show if the property was listed previously and expired, or if a listing was cancelled. Some Realtors will try to "churn" a listing which means they will have a listing and if it is not selling quickly, will take it off the MLS and re-input it to make it appear as a new listing. This is available for those with access to the MLS to take a look at.
If you are working with a Realtor, I would suggest contacting them directly to see if you can get this information. Let me know if you are having trouble and I can help gather the information.
Good Luck!

I believe information should be available to anyone who needs it. If you like email me the address of the property and if it is within my area (south Orange County)I will forward it to you.
