Hello Sharon, the J Train at Gates & Broadway. Also check out this cool new tool to see how long it takes to anywhere in the city by subway; http://project.wnyc.org/transit-time/#40.71070,-73.97090,14,780

The realtors representing home in ANY IN the areas they represent should KNOW the nearest subway to the homes in question. It doesn't take that much research. They're so busy tring to "flip" properties that they want to make YOU work for information they should be able to provide.

The nearest subway to this house is the J train at Gates and Broadway, which is only a few blocks from this house. However, you should check out the crime statistics block by block because Bed Stuy is a very large (and still gentrifying) area. There are "pockets" of areas that are safer than others that may require you to map out your routes to/from public transportation that will guide you through lower crime rated areas.

Dear theyoyolady:

Usually they are underground but sometimes they may be above ground as well. You can find subway and bus directions and stops at the web site http://www.HopStop.com.
