Public transportation is a challenge for the Houston Metropolitan area. Brookshire is west of Houston and is a rural area. Car ownership is almost a necessity because of the sprawling nature of this area. Houston is setup like a wagon wheel with downtown Houston as the center and other major areas at the perimeters, but unfortunately there just isn't much public transportation. Contact us if we may be of additional service.

Around Rodeo time you might be able to hitch a ride on a wagon in the Trail Ride to Houston....the cost is having to help water the horses at the half way point. Other than that that po-dunk little town doesn't have "public transportation". Brookshire is very small. They might have taxis.
Nice area.... it is still relativly rural. I used to live in Simonton about 12 miles south of there. You might want to check out Fulshear (east of Simonton) and Wallis, which is further west (all on FM 1093). Still no public transport though. If you are going to live in the Houston area you will HAVE to have at least one car. We are way behind on public transport.
