The short answer is that it is way too long.
You're looking at about 2 hr each way.
The Transbridge bus from the Phillipsburg mall to the Port Authority isn't too bad.
The drive on route 78 is brutal.
Good luck.

It is 72 miles from Phillipsburg to the Lincoln Tunnel on I78. On a good traffic day, you can make it in one hour and twenty minutes.

Hi Mr. Peretti,

Your commute will vary depending on which way you decide to commute. A drive to NYC from Phillisburg will likely take you close to 1.5 to 2 hours in high traffic times for a morning commute. If you can get to neighboring train station on the NJ transit Midtown Direct trains into Penn Station NYC, you could cut the commute down about a half hour into the city. There are likely buses that go into Port Authority as well.
