If you work regular hours there is a train that runs from Branchville Station to Grand Central that takes about an hour and fifteen minutes. There is also another line from Katonah, New York that takes about an hour and runs quite frequently but you have to add 10-20 minutes for the drive there from Ridgefield (there is also a shuttle bus from Ridgefield to Katonah that connects with this line)
For people in the northern section of town, it takes about an hour 5 mins from Goldens Bridge station, 1 hour 10 mins from Purdys, NY station or 1 hour 20 mins from Southeast in Brewster, NY.
There is also the Branchville station in Ridgefield, which requires transferring trains in Norwalk...kind of a pain.
Here's a link to the MTA:
Hope this helps,
From Main St Ridgefield to Mid Town Manhattan is Approx 1Hr 25 min. Depending on your location you have the option of using either the Danbury Branch of Metro North using the Branchville station or the Harlem Line from either Brewster or Bedford. Ridgefield is a great town. It has something for all ages from child hood to senior citizen and anyone in between.
We have a house not too far away from this one. Using my wife's commute as a guide, I'd guess the drive from the house to the Golden's Bridge train station to be about 10 minutes with the train ride clocking in at an hour and 5 minutes. Ridgefield is a wonderful town and well worth the trip.

minutes. I did this commute for 35 years - it's no big deal. Drink your coffee & eat your bran muffin
(purchased at Branchville RR station), read the NYT, take a little snooze and suddenly you've arrived
at Grand Central Terminal. Sweet!
