I will be commuting from The Grande in Riverdale to New york city and was curious the easiest way into New York from the Riverdale Grande for the morning/night commute.

Hi David,

Well you can drive down to the Wayne Park n Ride on Route 23 South (near rt 80), or the Mother's Park n Ride on Route 23 North also in Wayne.

There is also a stop if you drive north 23 to Kinnelon Rd (near the Burger King). If you make the uturn and and drive into the Meadtown Shopping Center where you can park your car and mount the NYC bound bus.

Here is a link to the 194 Bus which makes some stops on Route 23 --> http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0194.pdf

I've taken this bus myself from Wayne into NYC (when I used to live in Totowa). Now I take the same line from Newfoundland if necessary because I now live in West Milford.

I think this may be your best option to commute.

You will have several choices depending on whether you will want to drive a short distance 1st and if you prefer the train or bus. A bus does stop at the light on Ringwood Ave frequently, or you can drive to the station at Route 23/46 for a direct. There are also train stations nearby. Best recommondation is to check out NewJerseyTransit .com http://www.njtransit.com/hp/hp_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=Hom…
Great luck and Happy 2010

how do you like The Grande in Riverdale? I was looking at them but wanted to talk to ask someone who lives there. Is the gym always crowded? how do they maintain the club house? and any pros/cons to living there which can help me make my decision. Thanks in advance!
