What is the parking like at the Little Silver Train Station? How much does it cost & is there a waiting list?

The parking at the Little Silver train station is done two ways. First, you can park daily for $3 a day.
There is a pay station that you enter your numbered parking spot, pay, and the police check
to see that you are parked legally. The second way to pay to park, is, once a year usually in November, they have a "lottery" to get a long term parking permit. You mail in a request, along with a check for $360.00(for a 12 month permit), or $180.00(for a 6 month permit) payable to the Boro of Little Silver, and they mail you a hanging parking permit, which is valid January 1st through December 31st of each year. If you get the permit it is mailed to you in December. The lot is usually never full, and I don't think anyone that requests a long term permit has been denied.

There has always been a "lottery drawing" type application for parking stickers at the LS train station.
However, with the current economy, there are spaces available as of this past week.
Good luck!
