Hello Chris,
The average time is 20 min, but if my wife drives, she can get you there in 10 mins with no seat belt. Best commuting is before 7 am and after 6 pm. If you can avoid traffic before and after these time frames, you will have a smooth commute.

Take care,

Hey Chris,

travling from Fayettville will be 30 to 45 minutes. Tyrone is 20 minutes and Peachtree City 35 to 45 minutes. I moved up from Florida in 2004 and selected Tyrone, what a sweet deal it took me 15 to 20 minutes during rush hour dood to door. I was travling 70 % of the time internationally, the best arrangement any where I have lived. Chicago, Indiana ( Hoosier "86"), florida and now Georgia. Lets talk about what you would like to look at and how far you want to be from the airport.

The morning traffic from south of the airport starts is clearest before 7:00 a.m. It gets thicker between 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. If you are on the north Fayette County side in Fayetteville, you have a straight shot to the airport up Highway 314. If you are coming from Peachtree City, you must deal with Highway 74 to get to I-85 and that is not easy after 8:00 a.m. as you go through Tyrone and up to Fairburn to get onto the interstate. If you are coming from the Starr's Mill side (south Fayetteville outside of Peachtree City) you will have about a 20 minute commute just to the interstate if you do it before 8:00 a.m. Anytime after that is a long ride and a long wait in traffic to in an effort to get onto I-85 North to the airport.

As Toni said, generally you are looking at 20-25 minutes from the Fayetteville/Peachtree city area to the airport; coming and going. Depending on what area you are in you would either use the interstate or the state highways. If there are accidents, or construction it can stretch out to 45 minutes to an hour.

Best of Luck

Hi Chris,

The commute from Fayetteville to the Atlanta airport is approx 20 minutes (depending what part of Fayetteville give or take). We have commuted often to the airport at many different times of the day, if it is during the morning rush heading north or an accident then obviously this would slow you up a little. There are also backroads as well. I have never personally had a problem commuting to the airport and being there on time. Please advise if I cna be of further assistance.
