How safe are buses in Long Beach?

Long Beach has a wonderful bus system, metro link and the "Red Bus". I have attached a link that should provide you further information.

I have never heard of a problem on the Long Beach Bus system, only accolades. The Passport system (the red buses) provide easy access throughout the Long Beach area, are easily accessible and even have bike racks for your use.
