It depends on whether you are speaking about the commute from 6:30 - 9AM during rush hour which can take about 1 hour and 15 minutes or 9 AM - 3PM which could take about 40 minutes. Let me know if you would like to learn more about alternative means of driving or comuting. Depending on traffic and the time of day, t could take anywhere from a minimum of 45-50 minutes to approximately 90-105 minutes. However, the good news is that you have several options to get there. You can take the 405 South to the 101 West which will probably be the most congested. Another option is the 405 South to the 118 West to the 23 South to the 101 West which is a little longer but somewhat less congested. The final option is to take the 5 North to the 126 West to the 23 South to the 101 West which is longer in distance, but rarely exhibits traffic. So you have a variety of options to get there.

We look forward to seeing you in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Hi Gordon,
I would agree with the answers that have been given. The commute could range anywhere from 40 minutes to about 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on what hour of the day it is. There are a couple of different routes that can get you to Thousand Oaks.
It sounds like you may be relocating to California. If so, I would be happy to email you information about the Santa Clarita Valley and the current housing market. I am a local Realtor and resident here.
