How is the commute from Montara to the South Bay (Sunnyvale) via hwy 1 south and 92 and 280?

We know 92 can be a parking lot but what time does one have to leave to beat the traffic during the work week? What about going north on hwy 1 to Sharp Park road and 280 which is longer in terms of distance but is it shorter in terms of time?

Long... I'd be a liar if I told you it will be easy... if you want to be on the coast and have to work in Sunnyvale look in HMB. The drive from Montara to HMB and visa versa is really the challenging part if you ask me - I know there will be folks who say I am wrong but that's my 2 cents. I lived in Montara and went North... that's doable and will get better. The drive to Montara from HMB at commute time can be slow...
HMB gives great access to 92. The HMB Montara corridor is challenging. Montara is great for SF, HMB for Silicon Valley...
Other realtors are going to want to hang me... but it's true.
Montara to Sunnyvale 1 hour needed. And it's done all the time...
Montara is great...
