How easy it to get around Larkspur with public transportation (buses, trains, subways, etc)?

Is it possible to live in this city without a car?

It's possible but depends on where you live. Generally speaking it's a suburban situation. I would think it would be difficult to carry a lot of groceries to where you live with that said it could be done. I think we've all gotten spoiled by driving in California. There is Golden Gate transit for going to the city and other cities, I would live as close as possible to the old town but to get to the best groceries would be a few miles away...a lot of walking.

If you live in the flats, you could survive without a car, especially if you like walking.
