How easy it to get around Petaluma with public transportation (buses, trains, subways, etc)?

Is it possible to live in this city without a car?

Very easy and it is a small town and walking is very favorable but busses are also another way and public transportation for senior citizens.

Like most suburban cities, it is necessary to have a car to get around. Petaluma offers city bus service to the shopping centers and major 'drop' areas around town, but there are no rail or subway systems here. There are a lot of folks who live and work here in town and they travel by bicycle if not by car.

Bus transportation and cabs are the only public transportation services. Petaluma is bicycle friendly too.
