How easy it to get around Park Slope with public transportation (buses, trains, subways, etc)?

Is it possible to live in this city without a car?

Park Slope is served by several subway lines. On the south, there is the F train, whioh goes up 9th St on its way to and from Coney Island. On the North (by Flatbush Ave) there are more choices: The D and the Q as well the 2 and 3 at Grand Army Plaza. Buses run on the major arteries, 5th and 7th Ave. The B63 on 5th and B67 on 7th.

You can use the M or R train from Prospect Ave. & 25th Street train stops to get into the city in just a few stops. You don't need a car to live in this neighborhood.
