Is it possible to live in this city without a car?

Linda pretty much said it all, it is very convenient from all boroughs, and major thruways. You have to remember that good ol Coney Island was in its heyday when the train lines were going up, so it is THE only deep brooklyn area to have a train line, as a matter of fact Train LINES - plural!

You can get around easily without a car but shopping is more convenient with one. The main subway station is located on Surf & Stillwell Aves. The Q,B,D,F & N lines stop there. the bus lines are the B36,B74,B64,B68, & B82
