Commute time from Alpharetta to Century Blvd (off of I 85).

Asked by Jeremiah29, Leesburg, VA Sat Jan 16, 2010

We currently live in Northern Virginia and I am considering a job transfer to the Atlanta area. The move would be a good one and would be much closer to home. One of the most common complaints I hear about Atlanta is the traffic. We are looking at settling in the Alpharetta area (schools, housing) and I am trying to get a handle on what my commute time would look like from Alpharetta to Century Blvd, just off of I 85, about 4 miles south of the I 85 and I 285 interchange. (Fortunately, our office in Atlanta is not downtown.) My cummute time in northern virginia runs between 45 to 60 minutes on average. Surely it can't be any worse. My morning commute would start around 6:30 and my afternoon commute would start around 5:00. I would appreciate any insight. Thanks
