There is a VanPool from Temecula to MCAS Miramar and you can get $125 reimbursement toward the VanPool. So it makes it pretty much FREE for you.
I can help you with that too.

Depends on what part of Temecula you're looking at, and how fast you drive. Time of day is critical too. You can do it in 45 if you drive pretty fast, are on the south end of town and don't take a lot of time getting on the freeway. Up off of Winchester, easily an hour. Morning rush hour in Escondido can really hang things up, but if you use the express lanes (costs money, unless you're carpool) it's wide open once you get on them, but can be some minor delays approaching the 78. I'd allow at least an hour, hour fifteen with traffic. Better safe than sorry!

The commute is 45 minutes to an hour. The I-15 south now has carpool lanes that have made the commute better today than it was a year ago and that has made a huge difference in the daily commute. There are also many ride share opportunities going down to the area from Temecula. Check out for information on commuting or

Hi Marc,
You are looking at an average of 1 hr 15 minutes depending on the day and time.

Yes it's about 45min with no traffic. 1hr 15 with traffic. Worth it if your spouse works from home or a stay at home mom because everything is RIGHT THERE. The mall, costco, walmart, kohls, name it! The schools are so great too. A very great place for family!!

you can make it in 30 minutes if you travel between 9am to 3pm or up to 90 minutes or more if during rush hour or if there's an accident. If you could travel with someone you could use the diamond lane a good part of the way.

You're looking at just under an hour depending on traffic.
