Are there any major traffic problems in Santa Rosa?

If so, can you tell me where (major streets/commuting paths)?

Well, Santa Rosa is in the process of widening Hwy 101 down by Rohnert Park and Cotati, and that ties things up a bit, but most residents use Petaluma Hill Road down to Petaluma to bypass that construction. I came up here to live back in 1971, and have loved it ever since, having grown up in the wintry suburbs of NYC. The small sacrifice of leaving a little early to get to the city has always been worthwhile to come home up through the Rainbow Tunnel in Marin, and de-stress while enjoying the views of the hills as they change colors throughout the seasons! There's also Stony Point Rd. from Petaluma up to Cotati, and don't forget to stop at that famous bar that Clint Eastwood filmed his Dirty Harry movie scene in, the name of which escapes me at the moment, by Los Robles Rd. Sonoma county regularly gets voted as having the worst road maintenance in Sonoma County and modified exhausts systems and booming car stereo violations have lacked enforcement for some time. Sonoma Co and Santa Rosa to this date does not have a sound ordinance. Street racers, stereo boomers, straight pipe motorcycles, leaf blowers, diesel trucks, and constant small and commercial aircraft traffic not to mention regular prop washing, peace invading, helicopter flyovers. I would move and invest your tax dollars and votes in an area that values community and reflects in in the policies of their local government not gives lip service to being green while polluting, stressing and intoxicating their community and tax base.

Currently there are some serious traffice issues. Once the Hwy expansion as well as redevelopment of Santa Rosa is complete or nearing completion it will be better. This time next year should be a huge improvement.

Traffic is congested primarily during the commute hours. Also, in the City itself, poor planning by the City planning departments have created dangerous intersections.
