Are there any major traffic problems in Mill Valley?

If so, can you tell me where (major streets/commuting paths)?

Halley,
Most major traffic issues commence past Mill Valley exits on 101. That said, there are the usual traffic issues in any town when dropping kids off at school and picking them up again.

Mill Valley was recently voted as one of the Top 10 places to live in the United States. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais, Mill Valley is approximately 10 miles from San Francisco. Bordered on three sides by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Mill Valley offers numerous recreational possibilities.

Downtown is a bit tight on the streets, but traffic seems to move without much trouble. The only real traffic problem is entering the city from the north along Blithedale Avenue. Single lane for the most part, it forces a backup out to the freeway. Also, exiting the city via the same route, as anyone going north use two roads which converge before the freeway.

Commuting to Mill Valley from San Francisco is very easy. Highway 101 Northbound generally gets backed up once school lets out, but that typically happens further north than any of the Mill Valley exits. It only takes about 25 minutes to get to Mill Valley from the heart of San Francisco's Financial District.

Most of the communities of Mill Valley are located in Southern Marin just before the congestion that developes on 101. As such your commuting time to downtown San Francisco ranges from 20-45 minutes depending on where you live, where you are going and what time you leave. Coming home is about the same or a little longer. Riding a bike is a option and will take you almost an hour. In the summer and fall there are infrequent traffic problems on warm weekends through several neighborhoods with beachgoers going over the hill to Stinson Beach.
