Your agent is correct. I have to tell my buyers the same thing. Trulia lists homes as foreclosures that may have been foreclosed in the distant past. They pull these from the public records. Your agent and local MLS are the best sources for listings that are guaranteed to be available.... more
You should probably consult with a real estate attorney on what you can to accomplish. Part of your lender's answer may have to do with the type of loan you utilized. It would need to have been purchased as an investment property with the lender knowing this at the outset.... more
