Trulia is great at responding, hit the contact button at the bottom and let them know. As far as current and scam free, nothing beats the MLS feed. My site is a direct feed and any Realtor with experience can weed out the bad deals.Best of luck.... more
Hey Kate! Considering Nashville is currently an active/hot market, most realtors are primarily focused on assisting buyers and sellers. Some realtors are happy to assist with helping clients find a great rental, especially considering that most renters don't plan to rent forever. My partner and I value the opportunity because it provides a chance to make a new local connection! You can reach us on most social media outlets by searching "Nashdwell" or by visiting our website (of the same name). Hopefully this helps! Look forward to hearing from you. :)... more

Andrea.... If looking for single family home or townhome type dwelling vs. an apartment, also do a search for rental homes in the area and take note of the private property management companies that maintain rentals for people. These should be able to provide current rentals for you.... more
Some do but many don't. Your best bet if looking for a single family home or townhome vs. an apartment would be to do an online search for homes for rent in Gallatin and note all of the companies that handle them. These property management type companies almost handle nothing but rentals and since the owners sign with a specific company, there are rarely and duplicate listings among them. Most will display what they have available on their website but I would also call or email them with what you are looking for. Also call a local real estate company and ask for someone who handles rentals. That person can check the MLS and find those that are not under a management companies hold.
You'll probably also want to try looking at Craigslist but do so with caution. There has been quite a bit of scamming going on there. The point to remember when using Craigslist is to never give out any personal information or pay any money upfront before seeing the actual listing. Many of the scams have to do with being sent $$ upfront or requesting your SS# so they can check yoir credit worthiness first.
I hope this reply helped you some and if so, can I get a thumbs up or best answer click from you? Thanks and good luck with your search.... more
There is an app called airb&b that offers amazing temparary homes at reasonable prices. While I cannot endorse this company as an agent I can inform you of its existence and suggest it as an alternative to Craigslist and difficult to obtain short rentals. Another alternative is finding an extended stay hotel. The is one near you in Franklin that we stayed at and my family loved it. Good luck.... more
By "rural areas," do you mean the neighborhoods that will qualify for a USDA loan? If so, please drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would be very happy to help you locate a great home near Clarksville that qualifies for USDA financing. Your question is posted in the "Rentals" category, however, so perhaps I am misunderstanding your question...... more
