Keep an eye to your local paper classifieds as well. Unfortunately there is no central site that contains almost all house rentals as in the sites for house sales. Craigslist though is often one of the best resources for my area at least.

depending on where you are looking to rent...I would run a google search to see what comes up, also try craiglist, and or http://www.rentclicks.com
