I work for a local company that services homes and I want to find a way to update my database with those that were sold (so i can market to the new homeowners) and it will help me stop sending stuff to customers who no longer own the home - know what i mean? Hi Shannon. I hope this finds you well. I'm a bit confused by your request. You appear to want a list of sold properties but your email indicates not real estate. I will be happy to email you a list of sold properties within the Hampton Roads area if that's what you would like. How far back by settlement date do you need the search to go? If you could please email me the criteria needed for your search I'll be happy to do what I can to assist you. Please understand the properties I send you are only ones that have sold and closed through our Multiple Listing Service. Any For Sale by Owners or property transfers that were not processed by our MLS will not be shown. I'll await your email.

The Daily Press online offers a great property transfer database that you can search. It's map based but if you scroll down, there's a form box labeled "Search past records". You can then search by zip code and approximate sold dates. This will pull up data in a list format. I don't know if you can export the list but you can always copy and paste the data to an excel file.
